Who is behind HealthITPrep
I am Adel Moustafa, a pharmacist turned health informatics specialist, CPHIMS® certified by HIMSS since September 2026.
Experience
9+ years in healthcare, 7+ of them in hospitals, and 4+ years dedicated full time to health information system (HIS) and EMR support and implementation in hospitals in Egypt, Iraq and Qatar.
I currently work as a Clinical Applications Specialist in a 600-bed hospital in Iraq, supporting EMR, laboratory and radiology systems for about 4,000 users, configuring clinical decision support (drug interactions, allergies) and order sets, and building TrakCare reports for a hospital in Doha.
Before that I led the IT and Digital Transformation department at Ras Sudr Hospital (Egypt Healthcare Authority): I moved the hospital from paper to fully electronic work across clinics, wards, ER, OR and dialysis, and trained more than 1,000 clinical staff.
Health Informatics Diploma (Ministry of Health and Population, Egypt, 2022) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (Beni-Suef University, 2017).
I work with InterSystems TrakCare, Dedalus and Sarus, and with HL7, DICOM and IHE.

Why this site?
While studying for CPHIMS, I could not find what I needed: few questions with no explanation, or explanations that say "the answer is B" without saying why the other options are wrong. So I built myself a tool: exam-style questions, an explanation for every option, and a review that brings back the questions I missed until I master them.
After I passed, colleagues asked how I studied, so I turned the tool into HealthITPrep: questions in English as in the exam, with simple Arabic explanations for every option, built on daily hands-on work with these systems inside hospitals.
